The Steve Dahl Show – July 27, 2012

If you need some new topics, stories or items to fixate upon, today’s DahlCast will be a huge help to you. Some things are just fascinating, whether we intend them to be or not.

Steve couldn’t help but focus on a story on CNN this morning from Dr. Sanjay Gupta. We come to the conclusion that a foundation to help get kids plastic surgery to prevent bullying, may not be the best approach, but will sure help a poor girl with some unfortunately sized ears. And that’s all we have to say about that.

DahlCast sports correspondent Ben Gay gives us a kickoff to the London Olympics. He has worked his way through Olympic Village and managed to swallow his pride long enough to get us a list of some restricted items. We’re just fascinated with Ben’s coverage of these games and he’s simply fixated by those Speedos.

Dino Stamatopoulos, our network’s new self-appointed self-hater, joins us to discuss his compelling show with Andy Richter, which will be available on the network next week. While Andy Richter may have learned the hard way that he should watch what he says on a podcast, Dino still hasn’t quite figured that out. Oh, and if you are visiting Dino in L.A. and come in contact with Dan Harmon’s girlfriend, don’t mention Lamb, no matter what you eat or do.

When left home alone and to his own devices, Buzz Kilman really gets wrapped up in some crazy T.V. The Science Channel and a special he saw on the Big Bang fascinate him. Steve may have a theory as to why this happens to Buzz, which may also apply to why Buzz almost brushed his teeth with Tiger Balm.

Whether the Olympics, self-hatred, the end of the world, Fred Willard, or tomorrow fascinate you, you will find yourself mesmerized by today’s DahlCast. Oh, and while you’re fixating on Stever and the guys…RIDE THE PONY!
