The Steve Dahl Show – June 18, 2012

As Freud taught us, the male psyche is full of all kinds of twists and turns. Today’s show takes listeners on a ride through our DahlCast men and some of the more manly tendencies in their psyches. Or at least their attempts to be manly…

The manliest of holidays, Father’s Day, was celebrated by Steve with his boys on their club golf course. It was mostly a fun game, until the manly competitiveness of the boys set in and even the caddies, who, also as siblings, couldn’t help but fight.

Steve and the crew explore the “manly” single profile of XRT DJ Jason Thomas, who is a self-proclaimed bike enthusiast. He reminds Steve of all of the guys that zoom around him in the forest preserve. “On your right!” needs to catch on, people!

A listener sends us an email with a link to an article about a guy who had a pretty manly experience whilst modeling for an Abercrombie & Fitch photographer. Benjamine is certain he was taken advantage of, in his most sensitive state. When Tom Thayer called in, we also heard the story of Raymond Burr trying to land Tom as his gardener for a day…is it wrong?…

Pete Wentz is the Sun-Times Splash columnist today and he is definitely not a writer; at least not a writer of articles that make sense. Steve is reminded that he is pretty good at writing on his face. Guyliner? Really? Man-up, people!
