I wasn’t 100% sure that I wanted to come down here to Florida as those of you who listen to the podcast probably know. I was up for a voice over gig (my first after 18 months of auditioning) but that didn’t pan out. I’m sure you’ll hear all about that on the podcast. I am also not happy about leaving Janet in general, and especially with a dog that is rapidly approaching the end of her time with us.
That said, I made a game time decision to head south when I woke up on Saturday morning. Janet and I both plan on spending a few weeks down here this winter, and since we haven’t been here for two years, there’s a lot of stuff to fix. From big things, like the car, to little things like the filter in the refrigerator, I am going to spend the week broadcasting and playing handyman.
Sure, I might get a few miles in a day on the beach, and grab a bite at one of the local seafood establishments, but I’m going to get this place up and running. Also, I might get a massage or two if I can find a place that’s not a rub and tug. I know you don’t have to get the tug, and I wouldn’t, but I’d also rather not be involved in any decision making along those lines. If you know what I mean.
Oh, and I had a pretty good pizza on my first night down here!
