Turning Over A New Leaf

I am up early on Tuesday morning so that I can hit the gym before we record the DahlCast today. I hate working out, but it’s always worth it in the end simply for that one or two minutes of feeling virtuous while waiting for my bacon egg cheese wrap at the snack bar. It must be healthy or they wouldn’t serve it at Lifetime Fitness, right? Actually, working out makes me feel good all day long, and especially right after the DahlCast recording. It’s nice to know that I don’t really have anything else major that I need to do on any particular day after the recording session and the workout are in the books.

I lost the press pass that the Blackhawks were kind enough to give me this year while I was at the game Monday night. It’s embarrassing to think that someone will find it on the floor and go “Hey, I found Steve Dahl’s media pass”. I’m hoping that they won’t try and impersonate me at future Blackhawks events. A lot of lesbians could pass for me, and I bet lesbians like hockey. Not for the cute guys, but because they played. I’m confident I can get another pass, but it will be awkward having to ask for it, since Pat Dahl works there.. I don’t know what happened. One minute it was on the lanyard and when I got home it was gone. Oh well.

Well, I’m off to the gym. I’m going to lift weights for a half hour and then do a half hour of cardio. I have really busted into the Halloween candy, so it’s imperative that I don’t skip any workouts. I am just waiting for the gardeners with their leaf blowers to clear the premises here at the Casa Del Dahl so I can let the dogs out. Then I’ll be on my way. Who let the dogs out? No one, yet. There are four Mexicans out in my backyard blowing the Hell out our leaves. I guess they must pick them up too, because we never have a pile at the curb. I don’t like running outside in the fall because of all of he leaves piled up in the street. It seems dangerous for Halloween too.
